Even without the health risks, these zero-calorie drinks aren’t exactly optimal for weight loss. Diet drinks are known to increase hunger as well as the desire for high-calorie snacks.
Cutting out sugary drinks is an excellent step towards weight loss, but don’t replace them with diet varieties. Instead, try and switch to water.
Carbonated water can be naturally sweetened with fruit to help curb your soda cravings. Stay off the sugary sodas long enough and you’ll eventually stop missing them.
