How To Use A Treadmill
Does this sight of this huge machine intimidate you? Don’t worry, using a treadmill is easy when you know the proper steps.
Before jumping on a treadmill, first, make sure you don’t have any joint problems that can be worsened with high-impact workouts. Also always wear comfortable sneakers.
Warm-Up: For the first 5 minutes, walk at a slow pace to get the blood flowing and loosen your muscles.
Swing Arms: The treadmill has handles, but don’t use them! Swing your arms normally as if you are running outside.
Increase Incline: Once you’re warmed up, you can increase the incline of the treadmill, still walking at a slow pace.
Slowly Increase Speed: Lower your incline and begin to increase your speed slowly. Run at a comfortable pace for 20 minutes.
Cooldown: Steadily lower your speed by the minute until you’ve reached the slowest speed. Walk for 5 minutes.
Once you’ve gotten the hang of the treadmill, you can play around with different inclines and speeds to suit your workout goals.
