How Much Water Should You Drink Every Day
We all know that drinking water is important for our survival, but we never know how much we truly need.
Many of us have heard that the required intake of water should be 8 cups of water a day. This is the recommended amount by many health professionals. Others however believe that people should sip water throughout the day, even if they’re not thirsty.
You may think that drinking water is the only way to satisfy the water intake, but that’s incorrect. Many fruits and vegetables that we consume have water. 20% of the water we consume comes from the food we eat.
Every person needs a different amount of water. Your gender, height, weight, diet, and health are all factors that go into determining how much water you should drink. People who exercise often need to compensate for the loss of liquids by drinking more water.
If you’re confused about the amount of water you should be drinking, just follow this simple rule:
Drink when you’re thirsty.
If you’re particularly concerned, you can always consult your doctor and they’ll advise you.
